The presentations will provide insights that will be explored in greater depth and further developed into concrete cooperation approaches during the subsequent workshop. The session and workshop will be jointly moderated by Friedrich Weninger and Rosario Othen as a collaborative project between the Dornbirn GFC and ZELLCHEMING.
The global fiber and textile industry is undergoing a transformation: increasing regulatory requirements, ambitious sustainability goals, and the establishment of functional recycling structures demand new cross-sector solutions. At the same time, the European paper industry has established circular systems with recycling rates of around 80%. Greater collaboration between the two industries therefore opens up significant potential for new cellulose-based material cycles.
