Herein, we present the production of dope-dyed Lyocell-type fibers produced with the Ioncell® technology. Vat and pigment dyes were used to produce fibers and fabrics of high color strength and excellent fastness properties. Further, pigment dyes were identified as superior when it comes to chemical recycling of the spun fibers to produce new Lyocell fibers of similarly high color strength, without the need for additional dye stuff.
