The presentation will focus on three critical elements on how to make the circular transition in the textile industry. Meet two of the forerunners who have a unique collaboration in the beginning of the textile value chain. And how this can make a change.The textile industry still is a very linear industry with roughly 1 % of textiles going for fiber2fiber recycling at the end of their life.

To make the circular transition happen, consideration of all processes is relevant - from the beginning to the end, from design of textile products until recycling technologies at the end. Textile products are highly complex and offer a broad variety of different types containing numerous components.  Enabling an efficient recycling at the end of life is still a long way to go, but some elements like design, collaboration and regulations can act as facilitators.
