Rubber Conversion is an innovative startup that has developed and patented a cutting-edge devulcanization technology, enabling the efficient recovery of high-quality rubber from end-of-life materials and GRG material, both post production and post-consumer, offering a groundbreaking solution for sustainable rubber recycling. This advanced process employs highly selective devulcanizing agents that specifically target sulfur cross-links while preserving the integrity of the polymer chains. The reaction is kinetically controlled to ensure a gradual and uniform devulcanization, progressing from the surface to the core of finely micronized rubber particles, which are pre-processed following an optimized granulometric curve. This precise approach guarantees the possibility of reintegrating devulcanized rubber at high concentrations within new rubber compounds while maintaining virtually unchanged mechanical properties—both static and dynamic—even under aging conditions. The technology offers a powerful solution for circular economy applications, particularly in the textile and fashion industries, with a strong focus on footwear manufacturing. By integrating into a virtuous supply chain, supported by a strategic collaboration with the Rematrix Producer Responsibility Organization, Rubber Conversion plays a key role in promoting sustainable material management and innovative recycling solutions for the industry.
