Alpex Protection is a European leader for laminated fabrics dedicated to uniforms and workwear for military, defence and fire-fight markets. Belonging to the ALMA Group, the company invests +/- 5% of its turnover in R&D and designs +/- 300 new textile solutions every year. Its production plants are located in France and Italy and the company is certified Oekotex®STeP, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001. Alpex has recently designed NEXGEN® product range, offering sustainable fabrics for military garments, with uncompromising protection level. Composed of 100 % recycled Nylon yarn (post consumer recycled Nylon), NEXGEN® fabrics are available with miscellaneous PFAS free membranes (biobased Nylon, biobased PU…), PFAS free DWR (Durable Water Treatment) and available in 100 % Nylon for easier recyclability. The CO2 footprint has been improved while having a supply chain located in Europe. The sustainable fabrics offers however outstanding breathability and comfort properties as well as efficient packability. Last but not least, the innovative implemented membrane contributes to the ease of use of the garment and to the security of the wearer, while being less noisy (- 4 dBA / 50% less noise vs. to Alpex’ standard reference) compared to fabrics with PTFE membrane.
