Sodium-ion batteries with organic electrolytes have the potential to play a key role in future battery technologies. Their relatively high energy density, outstanding temperature behaviour as well as improved safety performance make them a viable candidate for various energy applications. On top of that, the abundance of sodium on the earth has a dramatic impact we can organise our supply chains. But how do they work? How do they perform? And when will they be available?
