This presentation focuses on the consideration of energy consumption in the production of filament yarns. A significant emphasis is placed on the possibilities for reducing energy consumption. The current energy supply in the countries where filament yarn is produced is also examined to provide a comprehensive picture of the current situation. Another important aspect in this context is CO2 reporting, which ensures transparency and traceability in the industry. Finally, as a forward-looking perspective, research topics on reducing energy consumption in melt spinning and texturizing are discussed. This includes the latest developments and future challenges that can help further minimize environmental impact and increase production efficiency.
