Facing new European legislation where recycling is one of the key elements, it is a fundemental proces that all textiles collected in europe can be sorted by composition before entering a recycling process. NewRetex has developed an innovative automatic sorting facility for textile waste, with a unique sensor package utilizing a combination of different sensors, to measure and classify the textiles on various parameters including: color composition, material type, detailed material composition, suitability for mechanical/chemical recycling, object type and more. NewRetex fibers and yarns contains a share of post-consumer textile waste collected in Denmark.Our production of the post-consumer fibers in our yarns involves 0% water and 0%chemicals, and the CO2 emissions are reduced compared to the manufacturing ofvirgin fibers. We ensure comprehensive date management for all the textile waste we receive, allowing us to provide documentation and traceability and onward journay of textile waste in the cicular loop
