Antoine Demarche (Policy Hub - Circularity for Apparel & Footwear)
The Policy Hub - Circularity for Apparel & Footwear unites brands, retailers, manufacturers, service providers, and stakeholders in the textile industry. We gather the technical expertise and knowledge of 700+ members from our partner organizations, Cascale (formerly Sustainable Apparel Coalition), Global Fashion Agenda (GFA), Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry (FESI), along with contributions from our Advisory Group: Textile Exchange, Fashion for Good and the Social & Labor Convergence Program. Working closely with European policymakers, the Policy Hub leverages these technical contributions to propose ambitious sustainability and circular policies for the textile industry in the European Union. The Policy Hub will present an inventory of European legislation adopted under the Green Deal to inform and alert fiber manufacturers and producers to the impact of this legislation on their activities. The legislations concerned would include the Eco-design requirements for sustainable products and the Digital Product Passport, the Green Claims Directive, the Waste Framework Directive, and the future Textile Labelling Regulation.
