UV-curing is a well-known and es-tablished technology in many industrial applications such as graphic, wood, paper or varnish sectors. The application of UV-curable coatings is an ecofriendly (solvent free 100 % systems) and energy efficient (up to 80 % energy saving in comparison with thermal curing) alternative to traditional thermal drying and curing technologies. UV-curing is applied at room temperature so thermal sensitive textiles can be coated. The presentation covers the potential of UV-curing in textile industry. Examples of new developments and applications will be presented: - UV-curable systems for textile coating --> flexible and stretchable direct and transfer coatings based on silikones and urethanes as well as foam coatings - UV-curable formulation for fibre reinforced composites --> glass and glass/carbon fibre based composites - UV-curable formulations for 3D printing via dispenser --> individual and partial functionalisation
