The seamless integration of FibreCoat’s new technology into highly efficient industrial spinning processes is crucial. The objective is to minimize implementation risks by identifying and understanding the associated challenges. This is achieved through a comprehensive analysis of the current state of the process and the desired industrial process, conducted via a gap analysis. The findings are applicable to both FibreCoat products, AluCoat and PolyCoat, and reveal technological and operational gaps. Taking them into account, successful industrialization has been achieved for the AluCoat product, an aluminium coated basalt fiber. In the next phase the same is planned for the PolyCoat product, thereby extending the application of the gap analysis to ensure the successful industrialization of polymer coated glass fibers.
